Renate Novak successfully practiced massage therapy from 1969 until 2003. She received her initial training from a full time, two and a half year Holistic Health training program in Germany. She had extensive experience working with chiropractors doing deep tissue and medical massage.
Renate has been teaching massage for many years. Her experiences in the profession enrich students in clinical supervision and Swedish massage. Her approach to teaching is vibrant and loving, encouraging students to utilize their intuition. She also works with students to help them understand the spirit, mind and body connection.
Renate has a strong commitment to create an environment where Health-Choices students can feel safe in their process of self evolution and empowerment.
She is a recent graduate of Hakomi, a form of body centered psychotherapy.
Renate Novak has been owner and president of Health-Choices since 1992 and holds a vision of developing Health-Choices Institute and Holistic Massage School into a major Holistic Educational Center on the East Coast.
Josephine Mason

Josephine Mason Skiles, BS, Massage Therapist, graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and she was a candidate for the Master Program at the University of Kentucky. She managed a successful design business for many years in Louisville, Kentucky and than moved to New Jersey, where she pursued a part time career in Interior Design. Later, Josephine decided to pursue a career in Corporate America as a Senior Meeting Planner for two fortune 500 companies and worked closely with the Sales & Marketing department.
She has traveled to 5 Continents and visited over 100 Spa's in her career receiving various body treatments. Today, Josephine is using her creative mind and skills to launch a career in the massage industry. At present, she works for Health-Choices Institute and Holistic Massage School as the Director of Administration and Community Outreach Programs, plus is our instructor for all spa classes. Josephine is a recent graduate of Hakomi, a form of body centered psychotherapy.
In conjunction, she has developed her own company, Josephine Skiles & Company, focusing on staffing for therapist, private massage practice, mentoring, and the design of massage therapy studios. She is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP). In her spare time she volunteers for the Visiting Nurses of Bernardsville and Alternative Care Hospice.

Georgia has been teaching and privately tutoring students for many years. She has been involved in the educational field since 1974, writing and creating programs. She's been in private practice as an A.M.T.A. massage therapist since 1988. Georgia is an excellent teacher, bringing creativity, dedication and joy to the students she teaches. Her expertise is in clinical supervision, on-site massage, individual tutoring, self-care and development, yoga, and nurturing massage. In addition she has developed and teaches several courses in our Continuing Education program, including newborn and infant massage.
Georgia is a recent graduate of Hakomi, a form of body centered psychotherapy.

Jim has been on the administrative staff of Health-Choices since 1992, and an instructor of Massage Ergonomics, Joint Mobilizations and Somatic Studies since 1994. Jim's teaching and private practice are the fruit of 22 years of his exploration in using body sensations as a source of inner guidance and for embodying "Presence". Jim brings outrageous ideas, humor, and practical applications of his ideas to these seminars and his private practice.

Dr. Schwartz is an experienced chiropractic physician who has over 20 years of training, practice experience, and teaching experience in massage, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial therapy, bodywork, and rehabilitative exercise in addition to his chiropractic doctorate. He was formerly an assistant professor of Gross Anatomy at Western States Chiropractic College in Portland Oregon and has spent over two thousand hours in the study and instruction of human anatomy through cadaver dissection. He has also taught anatomy and physiology at massage schools, community colleges, and the University of Oregon..
Dr. Schwartz is the developer of the Clinical Massage and Exercise Training and the Primal Body Method of Integrative Bodywork and Corrective Exercise and author of The Rotator Cuff Exercise Manual
Dr. Schwartz teaches anatomy and physiology at Health Choices. He teaches both subjects from a clinical perspective. In addition to the standard textbook presentation, his lectures utilize postural analysis, palpation, muscle testing, movement pattern analysis and clinical examples to make anatomy and physiology interesting and relevant to massage therapy students. Geoffrey Prudhomme is a graduate of Health-Choices Holistic Massage School. He is a practicing massage therapist and specializes in Integrative Massage Therapy. Geoffrey has created a successful practice in Doylestown, PA, were he also resides. Prior to his decision to pursue the field of Massage Therapy, Geoffrey had a successful 12-year career in the restaurant industry. He worked and lived in Manhattan before moving to Pennsylvania. After graduating from the Basic Program, Geoffrey went on to complete the Graduate Program. He continues to fine-tune his skills with postgraduate studies. He excelled in his art to such a degree that the school invited him to join the staff as an instructor.
Geoffrey has offered a variety of workshops in the community in order to share his knowledge and skills in his field. He has also brought On-site Chair Massage to various corporations around the area. Geoffrey believes that through Massage Therapy and Energy Work, it is possible to release stress, blocked energy, emotions and thoughts. Through this work, one can begin to bridge the gap between body, mind and spirit. Geoffrey is committed to professional excellence and to providing the highest quality bodywork available.

Joyce (Hawkwoman) has practiced and taught Polarity for over 30 years. She studied with Pierre Pannettier for 10 years. Pierre was the designated successor to the founder of Polarity Therapy, Dr. Randolph Stone. She has been a student of Ram Dass since 1971. She has also studied Native American, Afrikan, Hawaiian, Buddhist, Hindu, Sikh, Christian - and currently Maori - healing traditions. She studied Humanistic Psychology for over 5 years with Renee Tillich, PhD, and was a teaching assistant in the New College Program of the University of Hawaii.
She counts her children (Guy, Tracy, and Kate) among her most important teachers
She was one of the founding members of the Aloha Holistic Health Clinic, and has been teaching at Health-Choices since the founding of the school. She teaches and practices privately, as well. Along with the many years of teaching experience she has, she feels that compassion and wisdom are vital to her work.
Joyce LOVES the experience of life. Some of her favorite activities include nature, music, and teaching.

Terry is a certified Neuromuscular Therapist, licensed by the Ohio Medical Board. She was voted "Top Therapist in Monmouth and Ocean Counties" for 1999. She has assisted Paul St. John in his neuromuscular seminars since 1991, and has taught at the Ohio College of Limited Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. She was also the personal Therapist for the Cleveland Orchestra. Terry is currently in private practice in New Jersey, with offices in Belmar and Princeton.

Ohashiatsu is taught by Certified Ohashiatsu Instructors from the Ohashi Institute in New York City, an international not-for-profit educational organization founded by Ohashi in 1974. Sensitive to cultural and social trends, Ohashi enriched Eastern healing theory with Western ideas about human development and self awareness. Also influencing the curriculum and philosophy of the Institute are the various Instructors who bring their composite experience with psychology, meditation, movement exercises, theatre, dance and martial arts.

Darby Line is a certified massage therapist and the owner/founder of Full Circle Family Massage & Healing Center (www.fullcirclemessage.com) in East Windsor, NJ. A 1994 graduate of Health-Choices, she has received additional training in Automatic Healing/Essential Oil Therapies, Craniosacral Therapy, Medical Massage, Massage for Cancer and Serious illness, Neuromuscuiar Therapy and Reiki. She is currently completing her certification in aromatherapy through the institute of Spiritual Healing and Aromatherapy.
A former broadcast journalist, Darby is an experienced public speaker who brings energy and humor into her presentations while clearly explaining her material. Over the past 12 years she has taught numerous classes on massage, healing and essential oils at Full Circle, Health-Choices, The Center for Relaxation & Healing in Plainsboro, area civic groups and community education programs.
